PRESENTATION
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGTH ABOUT:
Where do your clothes from, your linens and your towels, the upholstery in your car?  Where do all textiles and fabrics we use come from? What are they made of? Who designs them? Who decides how they are produced? And what happens to them when we use and wash them and when we throw them out?
Soon there will be 9 billion people on this planet who have daily contact with clothes, fabrics and textiles.
Therefore, this is an issue that affects us all. Whether you are a consumer, student or in the skilled trades, the approach to your part of this growing awareness could be different.

STORY TELLER, DESIGNER, CENSOR, GUEST TEACHER AND EDUCATED IN SUSTAINABLE apparel and textile PRODUCTION, WRITER, PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL ADVISOR IN STUDIES and FURNISHINGS.

My name is Drude-Katrine Plannthin.d1

I would describe myself as a firebrand, who has a sense, an attitude and a thought behind my work.

I graduated from the School of Danish Design (KADK) in 1994, specializing in a sustainable approach in the production of textiles and clothing.

 I OFFER

BUSINESS / THEORY:

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), environment and sustainability in the clothing and textile industry can be difficult areas to relate to; therefore, I lecture and offer advice and information at a multitude of levels to help answer the question:

‘What is sustainable fashion and textile production?’

I am available for consultation in business and educational institutions, school locations both private and public.

I offer talks, lectures, counseling or teaching in Danish and English, and as a guest teacher I target schools, colleges, design schools and private companies.

These services are based on my own background and approach and can branch out into multiple topics in a lively, controversial and interesting way depending on the target audience: human consumption, innovation, networking and spirituality.

Lectures and teaching can be workshops based on or tailored to the needs of an individual school or company.

I have spent years serving as a mentor, including counseling students in projects of an ethical or aesthetic nature and assisting in the completion of term papers. I offer coaching for young people and students who work with or want to work with design, ethics and clothing within the area of sustainability.

PRIVATE / PRACTICE:

Private coaching for students or advice in interior design or sewing projects is available.

With my background as a designer and artist with clear views on consumption, I offer private adjustment, repair and redesign of clothing, bags and furniture, personal advice and assistance in interior decoration and design.
